While with NASA, a need arose to curate the plethora of mobile apps from across the agency in a single place. Taking the existing app information pages, Jason created an index listing of each app. This project involved working with each app developer to take screenshot graphics of the apps and writing descriptions about the app. Initially, information links to a variety of NASA websites were included with call-to-action links to download the apps.
As more apps became available, Jason worked with new developers to create a standard template for use in listing basic information about the apps. The development of this template took into account the licensing arrangements for use of graphics like ‘Available on the App Store’ and ‘Download from the Android Marketplace.’ I also took into consideration NASA’s requirements to not appear to endorse any commercial products.
